This course is a 3-day session designed for the higher-risk areas of your business, particularly where there is a higher number of staff members. The Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification equips staff with the skills to deal with emergency situations and provides knowledge of common illnesses and injuries that may occur in the workplace. This certificate is valid for 3 years and includes the same core elements as the Level 3 EFAW, with the following additions:

• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• Epilepsy
• Anaphylaxis
• Fractures
• Eye injuries
• Heart attacks
• Asthma
• Head & spinal injuries
• Sprains, strains & dislocations
• Choking
• Diabetes
• Chest injuries
• Poisoning

The Level 3 First Aid at Work training assessment consists of ongoing practical observations and two multiple-choice question papers.

This course is a one-day training session and is designed to fulfill the objectives of low-risk areas of your organisation. Once completed it is valid for a 3-year duration. The syllabus covers:

• The roles & responsibilities of an emergency first aider

• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

• Seizures

• Minor injuries

• Assessing an accident

• Recovery position

• Shock

• Cuts, grazes, and bruises

• Managing an unresponsive casualty

• Choking

• Wounds & bleeding

• Minor burns and scalds

This course is a 2-day process and is ideal for individuals that already hold a Level 3 FAW
certificate and need to re-qualify after holding their certificate for 3 years. Their current First
aid Certificate should not have expired and ideally the course should be taken 3 – 4 weeks before expiry.

All areas are covered that are required to re-qualify with updates where necessary.
