LEVEL 3 – EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (EFAW)
This one-day training course is designed for low-risk areas of your organisation. Once completed, the qualification is valid for three years. The syllabus covers:
- The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
- Seizures
- Minor injuries
- Assessing an accident
- Recovery position
- Shock
- Cuts, grazes, and bruises
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Choking
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor burns and scalds
LEVEL 3 – FIRST AID AT WORK (FAW)
This three-day course is designed for higher-risk areas of your business, including workplaces with a greater number of staff. The Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification equips employees with the skills to deal with emergency situations and provides essential knowledge of illnesses and injuries that may occur in the workplace. The certificate is valid for three years and includes all elements of the Level 2 EFAW, with the following additional topics:
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Epilepsy
- Anaphylaxis
- Fractures
- Eye injuries
- Heart attacks
- Asthma
- Head and spinal injuries
- Sprains, strains, and dislocations
- Choking
- Diabetes
- Chest injuries
- Poisoning
The Level 3 First Aid at Work training assessment is carried out through ongoing practical observations and two multiple-choice question papers.
LEVEL 3 – FIRST AID AT WORK REQUALIFICATION
This course is a 2-day process and is ideal for individuals that already hold a Level 3 FAW certificate and need to re-qualify after holding their certificate for 3 years. All areas are covered that are required to re-qualify with updates where necessary.
